Trying something new can feel a little uncertain. Will I be any good at it? What happens when I arrive? Do I need to bring anything?
If you're thinking about joining a plant art workshop in Lalitpur, here is a clear picture of what the session is like, from the moment you walk in to the moment you head home with something living in your hands.
You arrive, choose a plant, and make your own piece of plant art with our guidance at every step. You don't need any experience. You leave with what you made, simple care instructions and a calmer mind.

There is nothing to prepare. We provide the materials and the guidance.
Arrival: Sessions run on Saturdays at Hotel Harmony Bistro, Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur, easily reached from Kathmandu. Come a few minutes early so we can start together.
1. Settle in
You arrive in Lalitpur and take a moment to settle. There is no rush. We start slowly on purpose.
2. Meet your materials
We introduce the materials: living plants, soil, moss and string. You choose the plant that appeals to you, and we explain what it needs so you understand what you are taking home.
3. Make
This is the main part of the session. In our kokedama workshop, you shape the soil, press the moss into place and wind the string around it. We guide you through each step and help whenever you need it. Every piece comes out a little different, and that is part of the charm.
4. Learn how to care for it
Before you leave, we show you how to look after your plant at home: how to water it, where to place it and what to watch for. You go home with confidence as well as a plant.
5. Take it home
You leave with your handmade piece, simple care instructions and, we hope, a calmer mind than when you arrived.
We run several plant art formats in Lalitpur:
